1. How to find CarTravel car pick-up and return area at Faro Airport?

At Faro Airport our clients are met in the arrivals hallway by a professional and friendly CarTravel representative that will escort them to their rental vehicle in the airport car park.

2. Can I pick-up or return the vehicle at a different place other than Faro Airport?

Yes. CarTravel reservation form allows the user to specify pick-up and return places anywhere in the Algarve at no extra charge.

3. What is the minimum age required to rent a car with CarTravel?

The minimum age to rent a car with CarTravel is 25 years old and the driver must hold a full license for a minimum of 1 year. An International Driver’s License (IDL) is required if the renter’s national driver’s license is not in Roman alphabet (i.e. Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese). International driver's license must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver. UK license holders must present both the photo card and its paper counterpart at the time of rental.

4. Can I eliminate the excess fee in my car rental contract insurance?

Yes. To do so you must select the "Super CDW Insurance" on the reservation form. Prices are displayed at that time.

5. Can I drive to Spain or other countries in Europe?

You are only allowed to drive in Spain if you select the extra insurance for Spain in the booking form. Other countries beside Portugal and Spain are not allowed.

6. What is the CarTravel's fuel policy?

Pick up full, return full. Your vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full. Missing fuel will be charged on your return.

7. What are the payment methods supported by CarTravel?

We accept cash (Euros only), credit and debit cards.

8. What does the the standard insurance include?

Standard CarTravel's car hire insurance includes: Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with an excess fee according to the vehicle type; Third Party liability (TP); Vehicle Theft Waiver (TW) and breakdown assistance. The excess fee is shown in the car listing under rating details & conditions.

9. Do you provide GPS satellite navigation?

Yes. On the reservation select the option "GPS". Price is displayed at that time.

10. Do you provide roof racks?

No. Roof racks are not available.

11. Can I request a diesel vehicle?

Yes. When listing car groups you can see the type of fuel associated with each vehicle.

12. Can I request an automatic vehicle?

No. CarTravel fleet does not include automatic vehicles. All vehicles have manual gear.

13. How do I make changes to my booking?

If you wish to alter any details from your online booking, send us an email with your booking ID and the respective changes.

14. Do you provide baby seats and booster seats?

Yes. In the booking form you can choose them as extras in your car rental. The respective prices are also show in the booking form when you select them.

15. Can I rent a car with more than one driver assigned?

Yes. When booking your car rental, select the amount of additional drivers you want. An extra price per rental contract will be charged for each additional driver.
